Catch Me

Catch Me is a musical about five friends coming to terms with Dean’s recent and unexpected suicide. They gather on the eve of his funeral for support, but they all have different responses to Dean’s death. As they laugh, cry and reminisce, they wonder how well they knew their friend. One question occupies them, but can never fully be answered: why did Dean kill himself?

Catch Me is a dark comedy that’s bound to make you cry. Book, music and lyrics are written in collaboration with Christian Czornyj. The show is a good talking piece for mental health issues, in particular suicide in men under 45. The first act will show the response of Dean’s friends to his suicide. The second act shows Dean’s side of the story.
